Those binoculars look well used as do (what I am assuming are) guides underneath them. I am interested in know what those are. I have a BIRDS OF GEORGIA Field Guide I consult almost daily. It has a checklist in the back. I am attempting to mark every box.
The older book is The Way of Birds, published in England in 1937 and written and illustrated by RB Talbot Kelly. While I no longer recall how it ended up on my list, the book’s illustrations were the draw, and I found a copy in 2011.
The other book is also a work of art: The Other Audubon by Joy M. Kiser, who discovered Illustrations of the Nest and Eggs of Birds of Ohio, the labor of one family featuring the daughter’s gorgeous drawings and paintings.

Thank you. My library doesn’t have any art books on birds. I want to remedy that.
