A walk in the woods

For example, the ginkgo in our front yard dropped all of its leaves this morning — they were still green. The forsythia rebloomed and then froze. The same with both rose bushes. Although fall colors have been difficult to find, however, some autumn gold glimmered during our walk in a new-to-us park near campus yesterday.

  1. Oh how beautiful … I miss being able to be in the woods …. We have lovely autumn color here (I am northerly of you), tho’ lots of leaves have fallen early with the snow (!) of a few days ago, and the high winds, and the freezing overnight … today will be 60F … I wonder what sort of winter we will have …
